The Hydrogen Grand Prix is a comprehensive science and engineering program that gives students from all over the world the opportunity to innovate solutions to real-world problems as they learn about environmental sustainability, renewable energy and alternative fuels.




What is the Hydrogen Grand Prix
The HHGP is a renewable-energy themed endurance race for high school students. Student teams learn about fuel cells, renewable energy technology, engineering and automotive design as they prepare for a 4-6 hour endurance race with their fuel-cell hybrid RC vehicle. The competition culminates in an international final in Europe where teams from around the world compete to demonstrate the efficiency of their designs!

Age Ranges and Competition Categories
The HHGP is for high-school students, and prizes are awarded for most efficient vehicle, design, engineering ingenuity, and other regional-specific awards for groups and individual team members.
